In practice, pumping solid parts with a small centrifugal pump usually leads to blockage. It is then soon opted for a too large inefficient pump. The engineering at Landustrie has thought about this and the cutting mechanism of the DSP submersible pump has been mounted together with the impeller and an e-motor. In this way it is possible to transport large components with relatively high pressures. This pumptype can be used as a normal centrifugal pump, with the the advantage to pump particals.
